Yankee Clipper Art Custom Boat Drawings
Each of my custom drawings is a finely detailed, scale or near scale replication of the boat, its gear
and other real world details. I will consider any boat, sailboat or other vessel for a custom drawing.
Custom drawings can include every visible detail of the craft, seen in the plan view, including lines, blocks,
special gear, colors, graphics, or the extent of detail the customer desires. Custom sailboat drawings
make excellent nautical gifts, due to their personalized attributes and extreme detail.
Requirements
Because of the level of detail and accuracy supported in my drawings,
certain materials must be on hand before I can start a custom drawing.
These include: Photos of the boat: some taken specifically for the drawing,
rig and hull dimensions and specifications, and relevent plans of the vessel.
A deposit is required at the start of all custom drawings.
Cost
The price of a custom drawing can vary widely depending on type, size and complexity of the vessel in question.
Two boats of the same type may not price out the same. $300 - $750 will cover a custom drawing for most vessels up to 35ft.
I reserve the right to price outside of this range as I feel is appropriate.
Other Details
The price quote for a custom drawing includes the larger 17" giclé print, (17"x22-26"), and 1 additional 13"x19" print.
I sign and date all custom drawings.
Additonal duplicate prints are available at a nominal extra cost.
Photographing Your Boat
As a rule a set photos will need to be taken specifically for this work, in addition to
existing photos of the boat, and its plans.
Please contact me before you start taking pictures of your boat for a custom drawing.
I have photoguide graphics I can send to you to make the job go easily and quickly.
High resolution digital photos are preferred. Please inform me regarding the camera you will
be using; zoom or not, and pixel count.
If a suitable digital camera isn't available, I can supply you with a camera.
Turn a round time for completion of a custom drawing is 4 to 6 weeks.
If a shorter turnaround time is desired, please let me know. If I can accomodate
your schedule I will try to do it.
